With such a huge number of wedding photographers out there, it can be hard to pick the right Asian wedding photographer for you. Here at Rashpal Photography we don’t think it should be a hard choice – here’s a few questions you should be asking to make sure you’re picking the right photographer.
How much experience do you have?
If your photographer doesn’t want to answer, that’s a problem. If they’re not particularly forthcoming about how many weddings they have covered or whether or not they have any qualifications or training, you should probably just walk away.
Have you ever covered an Asian wedding?
Asian weddings and traditional English weddings are completely different. Ask any potential photographers you’re looking at how much experience they have with Asian weddings in particular and Asian Culture in general. If you’re not convinced they’ll know what makes an Asian wedding unique, there’s a very good chance that they’re not the right wedding photographer for you.
Do you know the venue?
This isn’t a deal breaker, but it’s good to know in advance. A photographer who knows the venue first hand will more likely have a solid contingency plans in case of foul weather, and will already know the best places to take the most stunning photographs.
What is your style?
This may have the biggest impact on your decision as if you don’t like the photographer’s style you won’t like their finished product. Avoid creative differences early by discussing styles and what you’re looking for in your wedding photography. A great way of seeing a photographer’s style experience at the same time is in wedding albums. If your potential photographer can’t show you a full wedding album, not just the highlights, walk away.
